Every wedding is as unique as every couple is exclusively different.  But if you are the couple that wants to kick your theme up a notch, here are our picks for Mid-Atlantic venues that will exemplify your vision and make the most of your day. We bring you our favorite romantic, vintage, modern, rustic and historical settings that will create an event to remember for you and your guests.

1.     Elegant Romance

Historic Inns of Annapolis have multiple venues steeped in romance and history.  Nestled in the heart of Historic Annapolis, just a few minutes’ walk to the waterfront and among the myriad of time-honored shops and outstanding local restaurants, Historic Inns of Annapolis provides a space that takes the romantic theme to a ten.  With 3 different locations, Calvert House, Maryland Inn or Johnson House, your options can include a large modern ballroom or an intimate fireside setting. They have antiques in every corner inviting guests to relax in quiet elegance and luxury.  Personalized menus created by their executive chef, group accommodations, rehearsal dinner space and a farewell brunch are just a few reasons why Historic Inns of Annapolis gets our vote for Most Romantic Setting in Maryland.  Visit their vendor page here.

2.     Vintage Flair

1840’s Plaza, located in the historic Jonestown Neighborhood in Baltimore City, has several unique and glamorous locales, but the 1840s City Lites is our favorite vintage site for its fun, flirty and forties feel.  The White Tower Diner makes a dreamy spot for photos and gives the guests a classic soda spot to snap up dessert. Your choice of musical entertainment is run from Cab Calloway’s Orchestra Pit complete with marquee and couples can lounge on the Centre Market chaise to take in the event’s revelry. 3.     A Room with a View

Coastal views abound across the Mid-Atlantic area. The unique and breathtaking view of the Assawoman Bay and Ocean City skyline at Lighthouse Sound makes it our choice for an unparalleled waterfront venue.  Floor to ceiling bay view windows, warm distinctive fireplaces, and beam-lined ceilings in two dining areas make Lighthouse Sound a wedding setting to remember. Their bridal amenities also include a complimentary in-house wedding coordinator, private bridal suite and an outdoor waterfront ceremony site.  Check out their vendor page here

Museums are an imaginative twist to a wedding reception venue.  The National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, Virginia, combines sleek, modern design and historic naval history together in a setting every guest will find mesmerizing. The site also includes the Semper Fidelis Memorial chapel available for ceremonies which evokes reverence and hope with its clean lines and surrounding outdoor views. Couples can choose from 4 different event areas in the museum to captivate and enlighten your guests.  Visit their vendor page here.

5.     Rocking Rustic

Looking to go country chic for your wedding, Fairwinds Farms & Stables, Inc., is a 52-acre working farm with stunning views of horse pastures and its peaceful pond. On site accommodations include a Victorian B & B and can house you and your bridal party on the day.  Arrive at your event in a horse-drawn carriage, entertain smaller guests with pony rides or let love fly with a dove release creating a one-of-kind experience for your family and friends.  Find them on our vendor page here

6.     Going Historical

Historic St. Mary’s City and the Inn at Brome Howard is reviving history and making weddings colonial by opening its newly reconstructed Colonial State House of 1676 to couples for their big day.  A favorite spot is the Maryland Dove Dock and Riverfront because of its spectacular sunset setting and the early American style ship parked just yards away from your event.  Visit them on our vendor page here
